Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

April 17 - 19, 2009

Three glorious days in Pigeon Forge with 13 of us all from our Sunday School Class. What fun!

When we arrived on Friday we stopped at the Old Mill and ate along with shopping. How I'd love for my yard to look like this!

This was also the weekend of the Rod Run. Five miles of classic cars on both sides of the road along with a sea of people! This is just one scene of many.

Being Baptists we luv to eat! So off to Gatlinburg for dinner. Shrimp specials all around at Bubba Gumps. Yum, yum!

On Saturday we went to Dollywood and enjoyed the entire day. I couldn't wait for the other group to leave so snapped the pic with them in it. We saw the shows and with the Que Ball it was a snap, no long lines to wait in and the best reserved seats in the house. We saw Mexican dancers, Kingdom Heirs (a southern gospel group), Imagine, and Luthania dancers. 4 shows in one day was enough along with the rest of the park. Then the parade on stilts! Brave young man to try this. We enjoyed the entire time but tired tired by days end.

Dinner at Mel's Diner and Banana Splits for dessert, 5 of us split this one. Can you imagine eating this all by yourself? Ugh! But as you can see, we didn't leave anything.

Sunday it rained but we enjoyed the day anyway.

It was a FUN trip with lots of laughter and closer bonds for all. Special, special thanks to Gary for the use of some of his picture.
