It's told in visiting Mt McKinley it is rare to see the Mt peak because of the clouds. Seems to happen a mere 5 times within a given season. We were blessed with the weather!! Here is the highest peak on the entire continent of North America ~

The blue 'streaks' at the top are from the position of the sun. Mt McKinley is 20,320 feet high, just under 4 miles. Temperatures at the summit are severe even in summer. Winter lows at just 14,500 feet can plummet to -95*! During storms, winds can gust to more than 150 mph.

The Mt McKinley Princess Lodge is a true wilderness retreat with enormous floor to ceiling windows. Sitting inside this is the view

Just some of the surrounding mountains
